SmartLib is a complex solution for libraries. It can be used as an expansion of current information system (e.g. Ex Libris Aleph®). SmartLib is being developed as a project MUNI33/012013 of Masaryk University.
Anyone equipped with smartphone (currently Android and Windows phone are supported) can use operations such as bookmarking, PDF preview, and other useful functionality directly from the phone. Just by pointing the phone camera at barcode of a book, you can acquire additional information such as book reviews and rating.
You can organize your favorite books into lists. Search books by their popularity and other various criteria.
Book searching is really easy! You can make complex search queries and you do not have to specify whether you are looking for an author or a name of the book. Last but not least, SmartLib remembers your search queries so that you can search faster.
More functionality is coming up soon! We are preparing an iOS version, high-density screen support, sharing to social networks, human-readable signatures... Stay tuned.
